Diane Mechem Kinser is a graduate of both Ohio University and Ohio State University.  She is a semi-retired English and speech professor at Columbus State Community College.  She previously taught at Franklin and Ohio Universities, as well as the University of South Florida and State College of Florida.  Mother of three (Rick, Amy and Amanda) and grandmother of two (Alicia and Taylor Harris), Diane enjoys reading, traveling, walking in Lake Hope State Park, and crafting jewelry, which she says is “therapeutic.”  The daughter of a college professor, Diane grew up on the campus of the University of Minnesota, where she developed a passion for both teaching and performing musically. She lives in Grove City, Ohio, with her husband Paul, a Chihuahua she calls “Rosie the Diva,” and a lovebird named Cheepers.
